1. Monthly Pension- As per state orders and in some states it’s related to the percentage of disability.

2. Railway Concession Certificate- as per railway guidelines only. It includes

  • Person with Visual Impairment with
    • Total Absence of Sight or
    • Visual acuity less than 3/60 or less than 10/200 by Snellen’s chart in better eye with best possible corrections; or
    • Limitation of field of vision subtending an angle of less than 10 degree in better eye.
  • Mentally Retarded person who cannot travel without an escort.
  • Person with Hearing and Speech Impairment Totally (Both Afflictions Together in the same person).
  • Orthopedically Handicapped/Paraplegic Person/Patients who cannot travel without the assistance of an escort.

3. National Trust Act 1999- includes Cerebral palsy, autism, Intellectual Disability and Multiple Disability and it provides

  • Niramaya Health Insurance - cover upto one lakh.
  • Legal Guardianship through Local Level Committee
  • Many schemes like
  • Disha for Early Intervention
  • Samarth Respite care homes
  • Badhte kadam for registered organisations projects
  • Vikas Day care
  • Gyan Prabha

4. RPwD Act 2016-

  • Reservation quota in Governmental organizations increased from 3% to 4%.
  • free education from the age of 6 to 18 years.
  • Provision of ‘Special Courts in each district’ for fast-track hearing of matters
  • Right to Equality, Equity
  • Right to Education
